Automatically closing device for gas plug at emergency

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To exactly close a valve at an earthquake time by energizing an emergency closing valve in closing direction from open state and closing the emergency closing valve by the closing force when a permanent magnet piece is dropped at the earthquake time. CONSTITUTION: When a dial 7 is fully rotated clockwise against a spring 16 to set it, the projection 15a of a set cam 15 makes contact with a set pin 18 to thus rotate the pin 18 slightly while making contact with a release portion 18b to thereby enter underneath the pin 18. In this case, an actuator shaft 12 is rotated together to cause the vent hole 11a of a valve body 11 to be communicated with a conduit 8 to thereby communicate gas therewith. When an earthquake occurs in this state so that a magnetic member 22 is released from a permanent magnet piece 26 to cause the piece 26 to be dropped togehter with a weight 27 therefrom, it urges the end of an actuator arm 19. Thus, the pin 18 is rotated to cause the projection 15a to be disengaged from the actuator 18a. Thus, the shaft 12 is rotated at one time counterclockwise by the spring 16 to thereby close the valve body 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
