Squelch unit
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To avoid reproduction until desired groove is reached, by discriminating the groove number read in from the disc record with the groove number stored through the provision of the position detector and suppressing the reproducing signal unitl reaching the corresponding groove. CONSTITUTION: The memory circuit 9 stores the desired groove number N. For example, the fast feed button is operated and the counter 13 counts the pulse detected with the position detection means A and the number N 1 corresponds to the position information of the pick up unit. The selection circuit 8 selects the counter 13 from the fast feed signal from the control circuit 15. Thus, the desired groove number N and the content N 1 of the counter 13 are compared at the comparison circuit 10. If N>N 1 , judgement is made that no desired groove is reached, and the output of the comparison circuit 10 keeps the fast feed state via the control circuit 15 and the squelch signal is outputted to the squelch circuit 6 to avoid the reproduction at the monitor 16. Thus, reproduction is suppressed until being reached to the desired groove. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
