Construction of block piled retaining wall and block

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To provide integrated and solidified retaining wall by improving mechanical connection among block groups by use of connecting bolts at the time of piling blocks, and making the block groups heavier. CONSTITUTION: While intermediate blocks 1 are piled on the base block 12 of the foundation structure filled with foundation concrete 38, long sides are put together. At the same time, the section 2 of the member 3 protruding from the long side on the back of the intermediate block 1 is made to lean against the back plate 39. While back-filling concrete or back-filling cobblestones are place from behind the back plate 39 and intermediate block 1, earth and sand are placed on the back of the back plate 39 and the back plate 39 is drawn. Further piling of intermediate block 1 and placement of back-filling concrete and back-filling cobblestones 40 are repeated. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
