Light semiconductor device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain sufficiently high airtightness of a light semiconductor device by providing a first cap for sealing a light semiconductor fixed by glass at an optical fiber thereto and a second cap for coating the first cap. CONSTITUTION: A first cap 29-I is formed, for example, by copal with an optical fiber 31 so determined in length through a hole 30 arranged substantially in its central axis that the end thereof reaches the vicinity directly above a light semiconductor 23 to be sealed fixedly by glass 32. A second cap 29-II is formed, for example, by stainless steel with a size capable of containing the first cap 29-I. The optical fiber 31 introduced from the first cap 29-I is inserted into a hole 33 arranged at its central axis, and the second cap is fixedly sealed by synthetic resin thereto.
