Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To perform lens driving of less mechanically undue motion by providing a speed control circuit, etc. and decelerating the converging speed thereof always at a fixed speed even if the moving speed is set at an arbitrary value. CONSTITUTION: The position detecting signal LD from a potentiometer 14 and the moving position command signal LI from a zoom demand 16 are applied to a control circuit 15. According to the level difference of the abovementioned both signals LD and LI, the speed command signal SI is fetched out from the abovementioned control circuit 15. The speed control of a servo motor 12 is accomplished by this speed command signal SI. Here, the lens moves at a fixed speed S 1 until the differential signal of the position detecting signal LD and moving position command signal LI lowers down to the specified level or under, e.g., like the alternate long and short dashes lines, after which it moves at the speed corresponding to the differential signal until it arrives at the B point from the C 1 point. Since the converging speed is decelerated at a constant speed in this way irrespective of the magnitude of the moving speed, the lens driving of less undue motion may be accomplished.
