Photoelectric tester
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To simply accomplish the tests of the whole portion to be tested by bringing that portion into contact with a special optically transmissive or transparent substnace. CONSTITUTION:On the mask 4 arranged above a light source 2, there is arranged a optically transmissive or transparent container 5 which is filled with an optically transmissive or transparent substance 6 such as water having substantially the same refractive index as the material of a container 1 to be tested. The portion of the container 1 to be tester has its bottom portion 1a and lower circumferential portion 1b dipped in the substance 6. With this construction, the light from the light source 2 is used to irradiate the tested portion, and the transmitted light is received by a photoelectric converting sensor 3 so that the existence of a flaw or blot is tested. Then, since the container 1 has substantially the same refractive index as the transparent substance 6, little boundary exists between the substances having different refractive indexes so that the random reflections at the portion 1b can be obviated to accomplish the tests up to the portion 1b.
