Magnet for high-speed rotary body
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent magnetic eccentricity during high-speed rotation by applying an adhesive to the end face of a permanent magnet and fixing it to the bottom of a casing. CONSTITUTION: A ring magnet 12 formed in a predetermined shape is applied on its one end face with an adhesive 13 and fixed in a non-magnetic protective cover 11 having a U-shaped cross section. Two of the magnetic bearing portions are prepared; one of them is fitted in the center of the end portion of a rotary barrel 1 to constitute a magnetic bearing 3, the other being fitted on the lower surface of a main body so that it is opposed to and slightly spaced from the bearing 3 to constitute a magnetic bearing 4. Even when the rotary barrel 1 rotates at a high speed, because the magnet 12 remains adhered to the casing 11, the expansion of the casing 11 results in uniform cracking, so that magnetic eccentricity will not occur.
