Projection-type television receiving unit

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To make it possible to project simultaneously another different sub-picture on a part of the main picture by providing a blanking signal generation circuit for erasing the main picture of a sub-picture unit. CONSTITUTION: Sub-picture on switch S24 and blanking signal generation circuit 25 are provided. When S24 is turned off, power is not supplied to circuits 18∼20, etc., for sub-receiving, and no video appears on Braun tube 6, and consequently, a picture is expanded and projected as sub-picture B at the right lower corner of screen 2 through optical system 7, and no video is projected. Next, when S24 is turned on, another TV signals are received and processed by video circuit 20, etc., from antenna 17 for sub-receiving and are supplied to Braun tube 6, and simultaneously, circuit 25 starts operation while interlocking with the turning-on operation of S24 to supply blanking signals to Braun tubes 3∼5, and as a result, part B of main picture A on screen 2 lacks, and sub-picture B is projected in position B.
