Constant voltage circuit
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To avoid the malfunction with satisfaction of the base bias conditions although the elements have some dispersion by increasing the emitter area of the transistor constituting the starting circuit and thus using VBE in a small amount. CONSTITUTION: As output transistor Q 11 is not turned on at the starting time, no bias is applied to the base of Q 7 and thus with no ON given to Q 7 . However, the current flows to the starting circuit via resistance R 1 , and as a result the bias is applied to the base of Q 6 constituting the differential switching circuit. Thus Q 6 is turned on. As a result, Q 4 and Q 5 forming the current Miller circuit are turned on to accordingly turn on Q 11 , and thus the reference voltage is generated at output terminal V 0 . The reference voltage is applied in the form of the base bias of Q 7 owing to the 1st bias circuit consisting of R 5 and R 6 . And Q 6 is turned off as soon as Q 7 is turned on. So that Q 10 is turned on to control Q 11 , thus obtaining the steady reference voltage at V 0 . COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
