Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide a stable transfer and adhesion of the transfer ink to the recording medium by heating the thermally fusible ink before or after the transfer to the recording medium through installing a mean to heat the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:Reel 14 and 15 wound with a printing tape 13 and installed with a thermal head supporting material 12, is placed on a base plate 11 so that it moves left and right on a rail 16. At that time, for the transferring of the thermally fused ink to a recording medium by thermal heads 18a, 18b and 18c, a mean to heat the recording medium before or after the transfer is provided. For example, a solid phase ink layer 13a of a printing tape 13 is touched hermetically with a recording paper 51 to commence the letter printing operation. At this time, the recording paper 51 is heated previously by the thermal head 18b. By doing so, the ink can be penetrated well into the recording paper 51.
