Ink-jet recorder for colored picture

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide an ink-jet recorder which can color neutral tints without blots and gradations, with ink-nozzles hard to be stuffed, by filling ink chambers separated from each other with 4 kinds of individually different colored quickly-drying ink on the basis of one color for one chamber; and preparing ink-jet chambers in such a way that the ink will be sprayed from each of their nozzles due to a sudden decrease in volume inside the chambers. CONSTITUTION:The chambers 10 are filled each in different colors, namely, black, red, yellow and blue, with the ink which consists of 0.1-9wt% water-soluble dye; 7-45wt% polyhydric alcohol such as ethylene glycols, or glycerin; 0.5-25wt% surface active agents which show 20-50 dyne/cm at the micelle concentration of surface active agent against water such as salts of fatty acids, salts of higher alcohol sulfates; and the remainder as water. The ink 4 is forced out of a nozzle 11, using a peizoelectric element 8 for reducing rapidly the volume inside the chamber 10.
