Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent a seat belt from being left on a floor when a seat is folded, by providing a lock-up mechanism which is engaged with the floor and by attaching the mechanism together with the seat belt to the rear of a seat cushion. CONSTITUTION: A seat back lock-up mechanism 4 and a striker 6 are disengaged from eacn other and a seat back 2 is swung centering a hinge bolt 3 as shown in the arrow A so that the seat back is folded. An operating lever 93 of a seat cushion lock-up mechanism 9 is then swung in the direction of the arrow to disengage a hook 92 from a striker 11. The seat cushion 1 is then swung together with the seat back 2 centering a hinge pin 8c in the direction of the arrow c, thereby setting up the the seat cushion 1 and the seat back 2. Since one end 10 of the seat belt is attached to the seat cushion 1, the belt is moved together with the cushion and not left on the floor 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
