Dual file system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To release the disturbance of file groups dependent upon processing interrupt at a fualt time by providing a group control means in the dual file system where the processing to update pural files in group units is performed. CONSTITUTION:Group control means 41 is provided which sets/resets indications, which indicate that files are being updated in group units, to update storage means corresponding to individual files. For the purpose of restarting the system stopped by a fault, read means 52 reads out update storage means 12a and 22a and level storage means 12b and 22b of file 12 in the first file group and file 22 in the second file group. If update indication is set in one update storage means, the system is restored by the other file. If update indication is not set in both update storage means, update levels are compared with each other, and the file having a new update level is copied to the old file.
