Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve the fuel cost of a rotary engine by uniting driving shafts of several rotary engines to be freely separated by a clutch. CONSTITUTION: An engine of a great displacement in total with several combustion chambers of the first rotary engine 1, the second rotary engine 2 and so on is separated by a clutch 3 for the continuous rotation by the minimum engine output according to the driving condition of a car. When a high engine output is needed, several rotary engines separated are united in one body for generating a high horsepower. Variable operation of the engine of a great displacement by the clutch 3 permits to obtain a rotary engine with a low fuel cost. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
