Rolled material end part form control device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce crop quantity of rolled material in a wide range and decrease the cost by providing a forming device consisting of a rolled material holder supporting device, a roll press to form a rolled material plane form into an approximately convex shape and a cylinder for turning and moving, and the like. CONSTITUTION:A slab 4 is supported by a holder supporting device 5, 5', and an end part forming device 6 that rolles the front, left and right side positions of the end part of it to change the plane form to become an approximately convex shape is provided. The device 6 consists of a pressing cylinder 12 provided with a forming roll at a horizontally universal end and a horizontally universal cylinder 18 for moving and turning that is connected with the pressing cylinder 12 through a connection metal 16. The turning and moving cylinder 18 is extended and the front end of the slab 4 is formed approximately convex shape with the forming roll 11. When this slab is rolled, generation of a fish tail is remarkably reduced and it becomes rolled material that has very little discarded part by crop as shown in a dot line position in the figure.
