Fireproofing composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a fireproofing putty composition which remarkably suppresses the smoking without lowering its putty characteristics, and is useful as fireproofing sealing agent for floors and walls having cable ducts, by mixing chloroprene rubber with Al(OH) 3 , a Mo compound and an Sb compound. CONSTITUTION: A composition composed of (A) 100 parts by weight of a chloroprene rubber having an average molecular weight of 2500W6000 and a viscosity of 10000W120000 cp at room temperature, (B) 300W400 parts of Al(OH) 3 , and (C) 20W40 parts of a mixture comprising (a) a Mo compound such as MoO 3 , (NH 4 ) 2 Mo 2 O 7 , CaMoO 4 , etc. and (b) an Sb compound such as Sb 2 O 3 , etc. The weight ratio of (a) to (b) is 1 to 0.3W1.4.
