Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To make the mechanism in the drive device, etc. of the mirrors for copying machines simple and obtain arbitrary speed ratios by running plural sliders assuming the primary side with respect to one scale assuming the secondary side of a linear pulse motor. CONSTITUTION: Tooth parts 2a opposing to the tooth parts of sliders 3, 3' which assume the primary side of a linear pulse motor are formed to a scale 2 which assumes the secondary side of the linear pulse motor. The sliders 3, 3' are fixed with mirrors 6, 6', and a backward running command is given to the sliders 3, 3' by the limit switches 5, 5' disposed at both ends of the scale 2. The abovementioned slider has the tooth parts 3b (3b'), 3c(3c') of a spacing as large as, e.g., half pitch, mounted on the magnetic pole surface of a permanent magnet 3a (3a') so that the speed of a fixed ratio may be obtained with respect to the inter-tooth spacing of the tooth parts 2a of the scale 2. Pulses are supplied to the exciting coils 3d (3d'), 3e(3e') wound to the respective tooth parts 3b(3b'), 3c(3c'), and the sliders 3, 3' are drive-controlled at a fixed speed ratio.
