Recovery of scrap film

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To recover a film base without mixing of impurities due to a coated substance, processing liquid or the like, coloring and the like during a short period of time at a low cost by a method wherein the coated film of a scrap film is impregnated with strong alkaline solution and is peeled by high pressured jet water. CONSTITUTION: A coated film of a sheet-like or web-like plastic film (especially for photographing) having at least one layer of the coated film is impregnated with strong alkaline solution (preferably 5W10% caustic soda solution of 80W90Å) and the coated film is forcibly peeled off by injecting high pressure (preferably 5W35kg/ cm 2 ) jet water (preferably having a temperature of 70W90°C) before the coated film is dissolved or peeled into said alkaline solution.
