Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To enable to read in the bar code fed with any angle without misreading, by means of two dimensional photo diode array, by fetching the image of read-in body as plane information in the memory and obtaining the data with processing and identification through predetermined method. CONSTITUTION: When the bar code 2 sticked on commodity or laggage 1 moves on the laggage carrying surface 12 such as conveyor, the bar code 2 is made into the bar code image 4 with the lens 3 through the read-in window, and the two dimensional photo diode image sensor 5 is placed on the surface of the code image 4. The sensor 5 is driven with the address instructed with the control circuit 7 through the driver circuit 6, the electric signal in photo electric conversion is amplified as the digital signal at the amplifier 9 and sequentially stored in the memory 10. The information stored in the memory 10 is outputted at the output terminal 8 with the control of the circuit 7 and ROM11 storing the program for predetermined processing to accurately read in the bar code fed any angle.
