Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To substantially and largely reduce the width of recording tracks by having a magnetic transducer provided to a core. CONSTITUTION:The shape at the end of a first leg 31 has the curved line side 31a approaching mildly to a magnetic recording medium 35 and contacts the same at the point P and the straight line side 31b crossing with the curved line side 31a at the point P, in the advancing direction (Y) of said medium 35. On the other hand, the shape of the end of a second leg is covered with a smooth curved line side 32a contacting the medium at both sides of the contact point Q with the medium, in the advancing direction Y of the magnetic recording medium 35. Here, it is only the first leg that contributes to the change rate of the magnetic flux of the core 30 and the second leg hardly contributes to the output of the head.
