Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To enable the connection to the power supply directly and to establish a given luminance, by making unnecessary the series resistor connected to the diode, through the provision in one package by connecting the light emitting diode and the constant current circuit. CONSTITUTION: To the package 5 having the part consisting of light transmitting substance, the power supply terminals 6 and 7 are fitted passing through from the bottom to the internal. Next, at the top of one terminal 6, the light emitting diode pellet 3 is fixed, and the FET pellet 4 connecting the gate and the drain as the constant current element is fixed at the top of another terminal 7. After that, the anode or cathode of the pellet 3 is connected to the output of FET pellet 4. With this constitution, the direction of the anode of the light emitting diode built in the constant current circuit and that of the cathode are taken positive and negative respectively and they are connected to DC power supply 9. Thus, the luminance is constant even to the power supply voltage of wide variety COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
