Lubrication apparatus for transmission
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce fuel consumption with lower burden of the engine through circulation of lubricant pooled in the transmission gear chamber and the differential gear by a bouncing up with a follow gear in the differential gear. CONSTITUTION: A transmission gear chamber 3 and a differential gear chamber 4 is divided with a partition 2 while a guide path 5 is formed on the inner surface of the differential gear chamber 4 facing the transmission gear chamber 3 to guide a lubricant bounced up with a following gear of the differential gear and is apertured on the transmission gear chamber. On the other hand, a return port 6 is provided on the partition 2 to return the lubricant in the chamber 3 to the differential gear chamber. With such an arrangement, the lubricant pooled in the afore-mentioned chambers 3 and 4 can be invariably maintained at a proper level. This avoids unnecessary increase in the lubricant causing increase in the resistance and loss in the effectiveness while shortage of lubricant causing poor lubrication COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
