Diffraction grating spectroscope

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To perform wavelength scanning and eliminate the deviation of diffracted light flux by adjacently disposing two kinds of partial gratings of an equal gratiang constant and different blaze angles within the same plane and letting the entire part rotate and move along one circumference. CONSTITUTION:A diffraction gratiang G consists of two portions 1, 2 of different blaze angles, which are fixed on an arm A of a length R having the rotating center of a point O. In the position (a) with respect to the incident light flux (a), the incident light is entered more by the portion 1 on the left side of the diffraction grating G and in the position (b) it is entered more by the portion 2 on the right side. The diffracted light (b) is the same with respect to the positions (a), (b). With the spectroscope using the diffraction grating of such constitution, the neeed for structural and operational laboriousness such as change of gratings is eliminated in performing wave length scanning and also enables the problem of devaition in diffracted light flux in wavelength scanning to be eliminated.
