System for previously indicating arrival of elevator at floor

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve the service, by providing a sign having a plurality of indicattion sections and by increasing the indication area of the sign according as the gondola approaches a calling floor and decreasing the indication area accroding as the gondola goes away from the floor. CONSTITUTION: When a gondola move up to a floor with passengers, a lamp 18b lights on to illuminate an upward arrow 14b and lamps 12aW12e light on sequentially to illuminate indication sections 8aW8e. Just before the gondola arrives at the floor, a lamp 12f lights on to illuminate an inication section 8f, manely, the entire surface of the sign 8 is illuminated. When an upward assengder gets on gondola at the floor and goe up, the upward arrow 14b remains illuminated. Then, the lamps 12fW12a of the sign 8 light off sequentially, namely, the indication area is gradually decreased, and a passenger waitaing for a downward gondola is informed that the tondola is moving up.
