Sealing compound

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: A sealing compound capable of recovering a foamed substrate caused permanent set having a waterproofness, prepared by combining a specific foamed substrate having specific physical properties with an adhesive layer having specific physical properties. CONSTITUTION: (II) An adhesive layer having specific physical properties, e.g. a shear rate (shear load of 0.2kg/cm 2 ) of 1×10 -5 W5×10 -2 mm/min under normal conditions, consisting mainly of a rubber or synthetic resin is formed on at least one side of (I) a tape, sheet, or rod substrate made of a foam having physical properties, e.g. adhesiveness to synthetic rubbers or resins, water repellency, and a compressive hardness after 50% compression under normal conditions of 0.001W0.5kg/cm 2 , a relacation time on 100% elongation of the thickness after 60% compression of 0.1W 20min to give a sealing compound usable for mainly gaps between goods, e.g. concrete, etc. showing expansion and contraction.
