Gland steam generator control method and device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent gland steam reduction in pressure and steam at the point gland steam source is changed, by conrolling the set value of a regulator varying according to the output power of a steam turbine. CONSTITUTION: A set value of a regulator 30 is controlled to read higher in comparison with lower power put from a steam turbine 2 or the related equipment, decreasing with increase in the power of the equipment. As the power is lower, a valve opens wider to allow set pressure of the gland steam generator 5 higher. Before and after the start of the turbine 2, a great amount of calorific power is sent from a steam pipe 12 to the steam generator 5. As the turbine 2 puts out power increasingly, air bled flows more from a bleed pipe 14 to the steam generator 5 and steam from the steam pipe 12 to the generator 5 reduces in amount. Immediately after the start of the turbine 2, potential heat in the gland steam generator 5 rises high, that frees from lack of steam generated. COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
