Abstract PURPOSE: To provide a torch ignition type internal combustion engine, in which the ignition property, torch effect and combustion efficiency are improved by specifying the shape of an auxiliary combustion chamber and the direction of opening of the torch port open to the auxiliary combustion chamber and providing a main combustion chamber with a plurality of torch ports open in different directions.
