Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive photovoltaic element by providing a light transmittable electrode on the circumferential surfaces of a transparent substrate such as of glass and resins, and providing junctions thereon by taking advantage of the specific characteristics of a chemical deposition process or chemical dipping process (aqueous solution substitution process).
