SOLUTION: Copper or brass 25 is evaporated or melt-sprayed to the surface of a plastic member having fibrous, mesh or crushed piece shape and the product is mixed into or applied to a mat 17 or a root bed used as a culture bed for fixing the root of a plant. Catechin of a tea such as green tea, black tea or oolong tea is added to the culture liquid brought into contact with copper or brass and the liquid is allowed to be absorbed through the root of a plant 18 such as white radish sprout.
