Porous polymer dehumidifying membrane
Abstract
Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a porous polymer dehumidifying membrane excellent in dehumidifying performance by forming a porous hollow fiber membrane of a water-insoluble film forming polymer having a specified average pore diameter, a specified water permeability and a specified gaseous nitrogen permeability. SOLUTION: The porous polymer dehumidifying membrane is a porous hollow fiber membrane of a water-insoluble film forming polymer having <=8 nm, preferably about <=5 nm average pore diameter, Z 1.0×10<-5> ml/[cm<2> .min.(kgf/ cm<2> )], preferably about >=5.0×10<-5> ml/[cm<2> .min.(kgf/cm<2> )] water permeability and <=20 ml/[cm<2> .min.(kgf/cm<2> )], preferably about <=15 ml/[cm<2> .min.(kgf/cm<2> )] gaseous nitrogen permeability. The water-insoluble film forming polymer is preferably polyamide imide, polyether imide or meta type arom. polyamide but polysulfone, polyether sulfone or amorphous polyacrylate may also be used.
