Light irradiation device for mushroom vitamin production
Abstract
Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject device capable of simply producing vitamin D2 in mushrooms prepared in states hardly irradiated with solar light in the natural environment, before the mushrooms are cooked, by assembling a fluorescent lamp capable of strongly emitting light having a prescribed range of wavelengths with a means for loading the mushrooms. SOLUTION: This device comprises a fluorescent lamp 2 strongly emitting light having wavelengths of 280-330 nm and a means, such as a saucer 3, for loading mushrooms, such as Lentinus edodes or Flammulina velutipes, to be irradiated with the fluorescent lamp 2. A casing 1 is preferably a box having a size of 20 cm (length) ×15 cm (width) × 15 cm (height).
