A gaze point of a driver is detected from an image obtained by photographing an eye of the driver, and a shape of a traveling path (curve radius) ahead of the vehicle is estimated based on the gaze point. In addition, by assisting the running of the vehicle (speed warning, lane departure warning) based on the estimation result, driving assistance suitable for road conditions is enabled.
