Fixture for biological light measurement
Abstract
Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix an optical fiber in close contact to a subject, and improve measuring reliability by arranging a cuff to expand/contract by air pressure on an inside surface of a fixing tool to hold a light irradiating means to irradiate the light to an organism on which an inside metabolic substance is measured and a means to detect the light passing through into the organism. SOLUTION: When it is applied to a helmet-shaped fixing tool 3 to be installed in a head part of a subject 6 by a belt 5, a light irradiating part is composed of a light source part 1 composed of a semiconductor laser and an irradiating optical fiber 2, and the optical fiber 2 is held by an optical fiber guide 4 installed on the fixing tool 3. The organism transmitted light which is irradiated to the subject 6 from an end surface of the optical fiber 2 and is scattered in an organism, is condensed by a condensing optical fiber 8, and is processed by a signal processing control display part 10 through a light detecting part 9. A hollow cuff like a swimming ring is installed on an inside surface of this fixing tool 3, and the fixing tool 3 is fixed in close contact to the head part of the subject 6 by expanding this cuff by sending in air by a compressor.
