Preserving living environment for useful anaerobic microorganisms by effective use of highly waterabsorptive polymer
Abstract
Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preserving living environment for useful anaerobic microorganisms where water exists in relatively stable condition of less oxygen content and anaerobic microorganisms can markedly proliferate by taking advantage of high water absorptivity of a highly waterabsorptive polymer. SOLUTION: This living environment preservation comprises securing living environments for useful anaerobic microorganisms in relatively stable condition of a less oxygen content by taking advantage of high water absorptivity of a highly waterabsorptive polymer or hygroscopicity of ceramics to form an environment in which useful anaerobic microorganisms, such as edaphons, can easily live, and growing the useful anaerobic microorganisms in thus formed environment, thereby culturing the useful anaerobic microorganisms while maintaining a living environment capable of markedly proliferating the useful anaerobic microorganisms.
