Photosensitive material
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To provide a photosensitive material capable of giving a high contrast image, having satisfactory preservability and produced at a low cost as a photosensitive material utilizing the photosensitivity of silver halide and forming an image by efficient polymn. of a polymerizable compd. by heating. CONSTITUTION:When a photosensitive polymerizable layer contg. silver halide, a reducing agent and a polymerizable compd. is formed on a substrate to obtain a heat developable photosensitive material, a substance which dissolves in water by >=0.1wt.% is used as the reducing agent. This reducing agent is preferably a compd. represented by a formula R<1>-NHNHCO-R<2>-X, wherein R<1> is optionally substd. alkyl, aryl or a heterocyclic group, R<2> is optionally substd. alkylene, arylene or a divalent heterocyclic group and X is a hydrophilic group.
