Abstract

(57) [Summary] (Correction) [Objective] To provide an artificial blood vessel made of a tubular tetrafluoroethylene resin porous body, which is excellent in resistance to bending and compression and excellent in sutureability. [Structure] Tubular tetrafluoride ethylene resin porous body (PTFE An artificial blood vessel in which a coating layer of a tubular fluororesin body having mesh holes is provided on the outer surface of a porous tube). A group of cuts [A] arranged along the circumference of the tubular fluororesin body, and along the other circumference, cuts of the same length and number as above. A tubular fluororesin body having a structure in which a large number of cut groups [B], which are arranged at a position shifted by an angle obtained by dividing 180 degrees by the number of the cuts, are arranged at equal intervals along the major axis direction. By covering the outer surface of the porous tube and pulling it in the long axis direction, the notches are opened to form a mesh-like hole, which is heated and fixed at a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the fluororesin.
