Radiation-curable resin composition and cured article prepared therefrom

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prepare the title compsn. having an excellent curability and giving a cured article excellent in adhesive properties, solvent resistance, etc., by compounding a specific epoxy resin with a compd. having at least two vinyl ether groups and a cationic-photopolymn. catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. is prepd. by compounding an epoxy resin of formula I and/or an epoxy (meth)acrylate of formula II (wherein R is H or CH3), a vinyl ether compd. having at least two vinyl groups in the molecule (e.g. tripropylene glycol divinyl ether), a cationic-photopolymn. catalyst (e.g. a polyarylsulfonium hexafluorophosphate), and a photopolymn. initiator (e.g. benzophenone) as an optional component. A leveling agent, a colorant, a diluent, etc., may be added if necessary. The compsn. is suitable for a coating material.
