Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve fault resistance and manufacture yield by composing one unit of normal words and a redundant word and adding words which operate normally and connection means for information transfer between processing means. CONSTITUTION:Information is stored and respective words (normal word and redundant word) consisting of (m) (m: positive integer) normal words and alpha(alpha: positive integer) redundant words for generating and outputting a retrieval result as to the stored information are constituted, block by block; and a 1st unit consists of normal words 201 - 204 and a redundant word 209 and a 2nd unit consists of normal words 205 - 208 and a redundant word 210. Then the words which operate normally and the connection means 251 - 260 for information transfer between processing means 241 and 242 are added, unit by unit. Consequently, the fault resistance and manufacture yield are improved.
