Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To suppress the turbulence of an air-fuel ratio by obtaining the duty ratio on the basis of the maximum purge factor determined by the engine operating state, thereby suppressing the fluctuation of an air-fuel ratio feedback correction factor within the specified range even in case there is sudden change in intake air quantity, that is, sudden acceleration or sudden deceleration, during the execution of purge. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a maximum purge factor computing means for computing a maximum purge factor, a ratio between the maximum purge quantity and intake air quantity determined by the engine operating state, and a purge factor setting means for setting the purge factor changed gradually according to the engine operating state. A solenoid valve 9 is duty-controlled by a solenoid valve control means 10 by the ratio of the purge factor to the maximum purge factor. That is, in case there is sudden change in the intake air quantity during the execution of purge, the duty ratio is changed in association with the change of the maximum purge factor.
