Glass plate transfer feeder
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make presence of a glass plate surely detectable by arranging a semiconductor laser and a light receiving element opposedly to each other so that an optical axis is tilted at a predetermined angle relating to a horizontal surface where the glass plate to be detected is arranged in a vertical attitude. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser 16, collimator lens 17, pin hole plate 19 and a phototransistor 18 are arranged s that an angle, formed by an optical axis of these mentioned objects and a horizontal surface where a glass plate G to be detected and transferred is arranged in a vertical attitude, obtains theta1. The, laser light passing through the glass plate G is tilted at an angle theta2 with respect to the horizontal surface by the Snell's law when L is the length between both side edge parts of the glass plate G and (n) is the refraction index. A distance (x) in a side of the phototransistor 18 between laser light (b), passing through the glass plate G, and laser light (a), when the glass plate G is not present, obtains a relation where x=L(tantheta1-tantheta2). Accordingly, the laser light passing through the glass plate G is shifted from the optical axis and almost not incident upon the phototransistor 18.
