Magnetic recording and reproducing device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent waste of a tape and useless consumption of power supply by providing a sensor means sensing a state of image pickup and a switch means turning on/off a power supply of a finder with an output signal sent from the sensor means. CONSTITUTION:A sensor means 8 senses a state of image pickup to output a signal, a power supply of a finder A is switched on in response to the signal and the power supply is turned off by a switch means 16 when the signal from the means 8 is not in existence after the end of image pickup. Moreover, a 1st timer means 14 is added, and when the means 14 counts an elapsed time after the power supply 10 of the finder A is turned off and when the signal from the means 8 is not in existence even after lapse of a lapse of a prescribed time, the main power supply of the magnetic recording and reproducing device is turned off. Furthermore, a manual switch means B is used to select the means 8, 16 to turn on the power supply 10 of the finder A manually.
