Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the entire system-down by providing an interrupt means which interrupts a concerned terminal equipment from the system when it is discriminated that a faulty terminal equipment is the concerned terminal equipment to the system. CONSTITUTION:When a fault takes place in a terminal equipment 21, the state of a prescribed signal resulting in causing the entire systemdown is detected by a detection means 4. A discrimination means 5 discriminates it that the terminal equipment 21 is faulty based on the result of detection of the means 4. Based on the result of discrimination by the discrimination means 5, interrupt means 6a, 6b are driven to interrupt a priority control means 3 from a connection line leading to a host device 1. Thus, the terminal equipment is disconnected from the system. Since the faulty terminal equipment producing the prescribed signal representing the fault is automatically disconnected from the data transfer system in this way, the signal is not blocked by the terminal equipment 21 having the fault but sent to terminal equipments with low priority, then the entire system-down is avoided.
