Prepaid sales system using individual recognition card

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To handle the situation according to circumstances even when the balance is deficient by providing one or more than two terminal equipments for reloading and updating the balance stored in an individual recognition card by adding the put-in amount of cash and subtracting the sales price of merchandise. CONSTITUTION:A money changing terminal equipment 3 builds-in the mechanism of reading the individual recognition card, the mechanism of reloading and updating contents and the other required mechanisms besides the mechanism of counting the cash, and is programmed so as to calculate the total sum of the recorded remainder of the individual recognition card and of the put-in amount under the control of a work station 1 and to reload/update the recorded remains of the individual recognition card according to the calculated total sum. On the other hand, an automatic sales input terminal equipment 4 builds-in the mechanism of reading the individual recogni tion card, the mechanism of reloading/updating it and the other required mechanisms besides the mechanism of automatically inputting the sales price, and is programmed so as to calculate difference between the recorded remains of the individual recognition card and the sales price and to reload/update the recorded balance of the individual recognition card according to the differential amount. Thus, the recorded balance of the card can be easily updated at any time.
