Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide a ball protecting device for a golf practicing yard which reliably rises and lowers a ball protecting net by a method wherein an elevating beam is supported by a moving stay at an uppermost stage, and the ball protecting net is stretched in a suspension state around the elevating beams. CONSTITUTION:In mounting of a ball protecting device 1, a foundation 2 made of concrete is built on a ground and expandable stays 3 are erected. Since the stay 3 is expandably formed, moving stays 31, 32, and 33 in three stages are mounted in a containing state in a base part fixing stay 30. A safe fence 34 is arranged to the part, protruded from the ground side, of the base part fixing stay 30 in a manner to surround the periphery thereof, and a winch unit 4 for a stay is mounted. Since the respective rising limits of the moving stays 31-33 are regulated, the moving stays have respective stoppers 36, and are provided with a lock device 37 to safely maintain a state in which the moving stays are fully raised. When the ball protecting net 11 is raised and lowered, the stay 3 is brought into a maximum expansion state, and elevation of the ball protecting net 11 is effected by elevating only an elevating beam 9.
