Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent production of a high temperature state in a tank and to provide an enough disinfection effect by means of ozone by a method wherein a process to cool the interior of a tank having an endoscope mounted therein is effected between a washing process effected by using hot water and a disinfection process effected by means of ozone. CONSTITUTION:When an endoscope 2 installed in a tank 3 is washed and disinfected, the endoscope 2 is first washed by means of hot water by a means comprising a hot water tank 45, a washing pump 25, a washing water circulating line system 14, and heaters 13 and 47. Ordinary temperature water is sprayed in the tank through a water feed line system 18 to cool the interior of the tank 3. Consecutively, disinfection by ozone is effected by a means comprising an ion exchanger 32, a gas liquid contact tower 28, an oxygen cylinder 33, an ozone generating unit 30, a line system 17 for feeding ozone water, and a circulating line system 15. As a result, a high washing effect can be produced for the endoscope by means of hot water, and a following enough disinfection effect produced by ozone can be provided.
