Ceramic filter for gas and production thereof

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To lower the residual air-permeation pressure drop after regeneration by sticking a filter layer having the specified mean pore diameter on the surface of the filter side of a filter base body having the specified pore diameter distribution and molding a ceramic filter for gas. CONSTITUTION:A filter base body is molded wherein the mean pore diameter is 10-100mum and the ratio of pore diameter in the positions of 75vol.% and 25vol.% of the accumulated pore diameter distribution is regulated to 1.3 or more. A ceramic filter for gas is produced by rubbing powder described hereunder into the surface of at least the filter side of this filter base body and sticking it by an inorganic binder. This powder has mean particle diameter smaller than the mean pore diameter of the filter base body and is formed into a filter layer. The filter layer having 0.2-10mum mean pore diameter is stuck on the surface of the filter side of the obtained filter so as to bury the pores opened on the surface of the filter base body.
