Cutting device for crop sample of rolled coil

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To automate the cutting and removing of the crop of the end of a rolled coil and the sampling work of the sample of the coil by swiveling a guide head and retainer with a automatic cutting device for crop sample on the outer periphery of the rolled coil. CONSTITUTION:After the end part (tail end crop) of the outer periphery is cut and removed from the rolled coil C of a strip, when the sample of the strip is taken, the coil C is turned so as to make its axial center vertical and also is moved in the concentric position with a swivel frame 4 with a conveyer 21a and the tail end crop C1 of the coil C is kept in a slightly open state. Next, after the roller of a guide 5 is abutted with the coil and the bind of the coil C is prevented from loosening by seiveling a retaining frame 7, the tail end crop of the coil C is cut with a cutting torch and is removed and successively the sample as the sample of the strip is cut and taken. By this way, the cutting and removing of the crop of the strip coil and the sampling are performed in safety and labor saving.
