Peripheral monitoring device
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to monitor a required periphery by compressing image data in the rotational direction of a television(TV) camera after storing the image data synchronously with the rotation of a rotary driving part, and displaying the image data of an optional image angle as a monitor. CONSTITUTION:A lens group 21b provided with a tab prism 21c is arranged between a lens group 21b and a TV camera 20 and an image obtained by the camera 20 is prevented from being rotated on a monitor screen so that the image data are displayed on the screen like a panorama. The image data obtained by the TV camera 20 are sent to an image processing part 30 and stored in a storing image memory 32. The image data read out from the mem ory 32 are sent to a computer 33, the rotational direction (horizontal direction) of the mirror 21a and the lens group 21b are compressed and the compressed result is stored in an image memory 34. The image data stored in the memory 34 are sent to a display monitor 36 and displayed. Consequently, the 360 deg. state around the camera 20 can be grasped at a glance by observing the screen of the monitor 36.
