Outboard motor
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To absorb vibration in good performance while a large load capacity is maintained for the propulsive force, by forming a supporting means from No.1, No.2 supporting member, No.1, No.2 damper, and No.1, No.2 recess. CONSTITUTION:A supporting means is formed from No.1, No.2 arm-shaped supporting member 15a, 15b provided projectingly on a swivel shaft 10, No.1, No.2 damper 20a, 20b consisting of No.1, No.2 resilient piece 23a, 23b, and No.1, No.2 recess 18a, 18b furnished at the side face of an extension case 8. Thereby the supporting positions of the dampers 20a, 20b are approached as much as possible to behind a drive shaft 7, i.e., to the inertia spindle 17 of the extension case 8, and also for the left-right vibration round this inertia spindle 17 due to torque variation of the engine, the case 8 can be resiliently supported with shearing deformation in good performance by compressive deformation of the dampers 20a, 20b at least in the advance direction in which the max. load is applied.
