Whiteness adjusting device of cathode-ray tube
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To have whiteness adjustment simply without measuring the spectroscopic characteristic by using a probe with the calibration constant stored in advance, and comparing with the reference white light ocularly. CONSTITUTION:A measuring probe 3 receives light emitted by a CRT to be adjusted and performs photo-electric conversion, and the output data therefrom is capable of being calibrated with the reference white light of a reference CRT having the same light emission characteristic as CRT 7 mounted. The applicable calibration constant is stored in advance in the memory part of the body 1. The CRT mounted 7 is mounted on this body 1, and the light emitted thereby undergoes chromatic adjustment with the calibration constant, and the reference white light is generated. The data of chromatic conversion at this time are displayed on the CRT 7. The white light emitted from the CRT to be adjusted is received by the probe 3, and whiteness adjustment is done by adjusting the R, G, B colors and respective brightnesses so that the output data will become in correspondence to the spectroscopic characteristic possessed by the reference white color.
